Fire caused panic on board of ferry MOBY ZAZA, Nice
Panic erupted among passengers on board of ferry MOBY ZAZA after fire broke out in engine room, and vessel’s funnel was clouded in thick fumes of smoke, at around 1930 LT Aug 13. Ferry at that time was mooring at passenger terminal in Nice, France, on arrival from Bastia, Corsica. Fire was quickly extinguished by the crew, without port or city fire fighters deployment. One crew was slightly injured. Next trip to Bastia with ETD 2230 LT was cancelled until completing of survey and probably, repairs. At 0300 UTC Aug 14 vessel was still in Nice.
