Heavy lift ship MARIA raging in Valetta

Heavy lift ship MARIA made quite a mess in Grand Harbor, Valetta, Malta, when the vessel proceeded to berth at around 1210 LT Aug 9. Vessel suffered mechanical failure and hit fish farms boat, Italian-registered ANGELA ARCELLA. Boat capsized, two crew jumped into water and were rescued, suffering slight injures. After sinking ANGELA ARCELLA, MARIA turned her attention to docked general cargo vessel UNION. MARIA allided with UNION, vessel broke her moorings and allided with tug LIENI – according to Times of Malta, without damages.
