Two tankers collided off Japan, one partially sank, oil leak

Two Japanese tankers, EASTERN PHOENIX and KEIHIN MARU NO.8, collided at around 0920 Tokyo time Aug 7 off Kehin Port, Kawasaki prefecture, Japan. EASTERN PHOENIX understood to suffer slight damage, while KEIHIN MARU NO.8 was breached (portside fore, judging from photo) with ensuing water ingress, cargo of fuel oil reportedly leaking, vessel partially sank, but remains afloat. KEIHIN MARU NO.8 three crew were rescued. Salvage under way. On photos KEIHIN MARU NO.8 after collision.
