Ferry on fire, Brazil
Fire erupted on board of a ferry LS-01, docked in Vicente de Carvalho, Guaruja, San Paolo State, Brazil, in the morning Aug 1. Vessel was undergoing maintenance works, cause of fire yet unknown. Judging from photo, ferry was severely damaged, if not burned out. According to available information, LS-01 is a catamaran speed ferry, serving the line Santos - Vicente de Carvalho, Guaruja, having a capacity of 350 passengers. Vessel was bought by ferry company Dersa in 2012.
