Some two tons of cocaine seized on board of passenger ship SAN JOSE
The Colombian Navy said in a statement on July 24, that 1,849 kilos of cocaine were seized on board of a vessel SAN JOSE in Gulf of Unaba, Colombian Atlantic coast. Vessel serving the route between Turbo, Antioquia, Colombia, and San Cristobal island, Panama, was intercepted by Colombian Navy, and searched. Some 40 kilos of cocaine were found, later a thorough search revealed 79 packages of different size, and four guns, hidden in a secret compartment. Vessel is believed to be coastal passenger ship SAN JOSE, IMO 8979063, GT 304, built 1996, flag Ecuador.
