Cocaine found on capesize BESIKTAS KAZAKHSTAN

43 kilos of cocaine were found hidden in a ballast tank in engine room of a capesize bulk carrier BESIKTAS KAZAKHSTAN on July 5, in Carbonares port (Almeria), Spain. Drugs seizure was a result of a joint international operation, based on information, that drugs were to be trafficked on board of a merchant vessel loaded with coal. Details unclear, BESIKTAS KAZAKHSTAN arrived to Carboneras anchorage on June 10 from Columbia. 21 crew were all Turkish nationality, their fate yet unknown. Understood vessel offloaded cargo of coal, sailed from Carbonares on July 13, destination FOR ORDERS, at 1100 UTC July 13 was under way in Gibraltar, proceeding in western direction.
