Ferry BONTOHARU with some 200 passengers, and vehicles, on board, encountered rough weather while en route from Selayar to South Sulawesi, Flores sea, Indonesia, June 13. One of the vessel’s engine broke down, one of the propellers was damaged and disabled. Reportedly, passengers panicked. Ferry managed to reach old harbor in Bira, southeast tip of Sulawesi, and dock alongside old pier. Passengers disembarked using makeshift ladders and planks. Ferry reportedly remained in the same position and can’t leave Bira.
