Sailing ship NOORDERLICHT ran aground on Vlieland island northern beach, Netherlands, North sea, on May 31, in a dense fog. There were 28 school children on board, they were transferred to Vlieland port by KNRM rescue boat of Vlieland. Two crew remained on board, after failed attempts to refloat the schooner. The ship is expected to be refloated with high tide on June 1. KNRM photo of stranded schooner.
