Sailor died in accident on board of mt SCOT BREMEN: UPDATE

Company manager of the vessel informed FleetMon about death of a crew member – it wasn’t an accident, he died because of heart attack:

Dear Sir, referring to the incident published in your web site regarding death in Scot Bremen.
Kindly be informed that, the crew member Mr. Savas Demirkesen had heart attack on board the vessel. The Master of the vessel ceased the voyage and immediate medical treatment was conducted by ship's crew and medical assistance was provided as soon as possible. However very sadly during his transportation to hospital by helicopter, he passed away. The reason of the death was reported to be heart attack after the autopsy. The death of Mr. Savaskesen was not related to any accident on board.
As being the Scot Family are very sorry to loose our valuable family member. In respect to not to sadden his relatives more kindly request you to amend your report in this order.

Crew member died after an accident on board of Turkish tanker SCOT BREMEN, which took place at noon May 14, when vessel was moving outwards off Terneuzen. He was medevaced by helicopter, but died in a hospital. Character of accident unknown. Vessel was anchored abeam of Vlissingen, most probably for investigation.
