MTIDE TAURUS near miss, Scheveningen

Ocean tug MTIDE TAURUS dragged an anchor and started to drift towards shore on Apr 26 off Scheveningen, Netherlands, in stormy conditions of NW onshore wind and rough seas. Vessel was trying to hold on with engine, but drifted dangerously close to the shore. It is understood, that vessel had to slack away nearly all starboard anchor chain. Vessel had to change position to a new one allocated by Scheveningen traffic control center, and anchored there using her port side anchor. Maybe vessel had lost its’ starboard anchor, it’s not clear.
