​ MT KRITI AMBER towed to Piraeus after engine breakdown

Product tanker KRITI AMBER suffered engine failure in Sea of Crete 3 nm west of Fleves island, south of Piraeus, at around midday Apr 17. Vessel was towed to Piraeus anchorage and anchored for repairs and survey. According to Greek CG, tanker is en route from Matanzas Cuba to Singapore, with 42012 tons of crude oil on board. According to AIS, tanker headed for Piraeus after calling Malta.
