Bulk carrier GODDESS SANTOSH DEVI ran aground at around 0400 UTC Apr 7 in vicinity of 46 49S 075 07W, southern Chile, Pacific ocean. Details unknown, vessel was way off course towards southern tip of South America, en route to Sepetiba Brazil from Hay Point, Australia. Maybe vessel was in some trouble, or maybe rescheduled, in need of a short lay-up. Condition of the vessel unknown.

UPDATE: vessel loaded with coal was caught in rough seas and headed for Chilean coast to shelter. Vessel ran aground while tracking in a bay, ballast tank or tanks said to be breached.
