Container ship KOTA HARMUNI collided with fishing vessel in Gulf of Siam

Container ship KOTA HARMUNI on Mar 11 collided with local fishing vessel CHOK PI PAT NI 333 in Gulf of Siam in reportedly, position 11 54N 101 07E, 45 nm south of Sattahip. Fishing vessel capsized, but didn’t sink and is still afloat. KOTA HARMUNI didn’t sail away, vessel reported collision to Laem Chabang Traffic Control, and rescued 8 crew of distressed fishing vessel, all reported safe and unharmed. It is understood, that KOTA HARMUNI, which was en route from Laem Chabang to Singapore, returned to Laem Chabang road for investigation and settling financial questions with insurers. Vessel according to AIS, resumed voyage in the evening Mar 11. Fishing vessel is to be salvaged.
