"Galeb" Tito's ship becomes museum

The "Galeb", the legendary Italian production ship used by the socialist leader Josip Broz Tito of Yugoslavia for his trips abroad State, it will become a museum.

This was decided by the mayor of Rijeka (Croatia), the city bought the boat on which Tito has hosted hundreds of heads of state and government in 2009, when it was almost reduced to a wreck.

Now the award goes to individuals, with the agreement that is set up in the cabins used by Tito and in a part of the engine room, a total of about 1200 square meters, a museum, while in the rest of the ship, about 3 thousand square meters, will be open businesses such as restaurants and bars.

The concession will last 30 years, the estimated value is 10 million euro.
