Ferry RAFELIA 2 disaster

Ferry RAFELIA 2 departed from Gilimanut, western Bali island, at 1250 LT Mar 4, destined for Ketapan, East Java. Ferry with 25 vehicles on board, including trucks and cars, heeled and capsized at reportedly, 1310 LT, in Bali Strait. No confirmed information on number of passengers on board. As of 1430 UTC Mar 4, 71 people were rescued, including 17 crew, 10 are considered to be missed, SAR is underway. It is understood, that vessel developed list due to water ingress, then trucks and cars shifted, causing heavy list and capsizing. What caused water ingress, the initial cause of disaster, is yet unknown. Judging from photo, capsized ferry is partially above the water, either resting on bottom, or still afloat.
