THESSEAS ordered to sail to Brest, pollution suspect

French patrol plane on Feb 24 detected an oil slick in Bay of Biscay, tailing bulk carrier THESSEAS, some 185 nm southwest of Penmarch, France. Vessel en route from S-Petersburg (Kronshtadt) Russia to China was ordered to turn back and sail to Brest, for investigation. At 1500 UTC Feb 26 THESSEAS was maneuvering on Brest outer road, while anchoring.
