Another mega boxship aground, UK

Container ship APL VANDA ran aground at around 2200 UTC Feb 13 in the Solent off Cowes, in the same area Hoegh Osaka ran into trouble last year. APL VANDA grounded by stern with half of rudder out of the water, vessel was en route from Le Havre to Southampton. At around midnight vessel was refloated with the help of 8 tugs. After inspection, which reportedly, didn’t find damages, vessel was taken to Southampton and docked at around 0300 UTC Feb 14. According to UK Coast Guard, vessel intentionally ran aground after a blackout.
