STAR MARIA fire, Venice
Fire erupted in cargo holds 4 and 5 of bulk carrier STAR MARIA docked in Maghera, Venice, Italy, at around 1900 LT on Jan 19. Vessel was offloading coal. Fire reportedly, was extinguished by firefighters by 2030, by sealing holds, but it should take hours more to make sure fire is out. Combustibility believed to be the cause of the fire.
