MMEA detained tanker for illegal entry, pending heavy fine and imprisonment

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) on Sep 17 detained Mongolia-flagged cargo ship, reportedly tanker Fu Sheng, nachored some 14 nm southeast of Tanjung Ayam, Kota Tinggi, Singapore Strait, for entering Malaysian waters without proper formalities and for not paying requested fees. 11 crew detained, crew or Master face $24,000 fine or two-years imprisonment, or both.
