Floating crane damaged bridge, Yangtze

Floating crane SULIANHAIQIZHONG 27 broke free from towlines of two tugs at around 1450 LT Sep 17 on Yangtze river in Wuhan area, in the process of mooring to the pier near Yangtze River Bridge. Crane allided with bridge, one of the bridge’s piers was seriously damaged. No report on crane damages. Strong current said to be the cause of the accident.
