Thai tug sank in Penang port

A Thai tug sank near the North Butterworth Container Terminal, Penang Port, Malaysia, Malacca Strait, at around 1530 LT Sep 10. Tug was moored to a barge and started to sink while towing barge to berth, assisted by two port tugs. Tug started to leak due to unknown reason. 7 crew was picked up by a pilot boat. According to New Straits Times, tug’s name is Shoyo 18, the barge is Thai-registered, tug belongs to the owner of the barge. No such tug found in databases.
