Boxship MSC Ajaccio towed to safety, Spain

Container ship MSC Ajaccio suffered engine failure on Aug 26 18 nm off Cape Finisterre, westernmost Spain, Atlantic ocean, in a bad weather. Several tugs were engaged in salvage of MSC Ajaccio, which was drifting towards the coast. Vessel was three miles off coast, when salvors managed to take her on tow. In the morning Aug 28 vessel was docked in La Coruna. No reports on containers loss. Vessel is en route from Las Palmas to Rotterdam. Tugs engaged: Sebastian De Ocampo (IMO 9329021), Don Inda (IMO 9338010), Ibaizabal Nueve" (IMO 9546667), Sertosa Veintiocho (IMO 9133953).
