Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued statement with regards to Focomar

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia issued a statement in the afternoon Aug 11, which was, literally, repeating word for word my news, with one correction and one mistake. According to MFA, Navy ship tasked with rescue of the crew is Japanese. First attempt on Aug 11 failed because of foul weather, crew is to be picked up today, Aug 12. Mistake concerns the fate of the vessel. MFA said, that the vessel sank. Focomar didn’t sink and now is under tow, proceeding towards UAE, which is only logical, considering weather conditions. The story is about to be over. The crew is to be rescued today, and I’ll monitor the towage. Maybe later some details will appear, throwing light on generally, unusual and in some aspects, suspicious accident.
