Distressed Mar Adriana caught in Soudelor typhoon Update
As of 0600 UTC Aug 9, there are no news on mt Mar Adriana. The good news are, tankers, especially not big ones, are very survivable creatures, like cats. The bad news are, there’s no AIS signal, it disappeared. The weather in Taiwan Strait improved and traffic resumed, but there are no traces of Mar Adriana yet. AIS may be off due to a number of reasons, hopefully the one guilty in Mar Adriana case is not a tragic, just a breakdown.
