Bulk carrier under tow, Indian ocean

July 23: Bulk carrier Amber L, reported on July 16 as disabled in Indian ocean, is reported to be under tow of salvage tug Tsavliris Unity (IMO 8119091), heading for Galle Sri Lanka.

Bulk carrier Amber L on July 16 reported disabled and adrift in Indian ocean in vicinity 01 45S 086 08E, some 560 nm south-south-east of southern tip of Sri Lanka. Vessel reported to suffer mechanical troubles since July 11 or 12, while en route from Owendo Gabon to Tianjin, China, with cargo of agricultural products.
