Three crew died two hospitalized, toxic gas suspected

Three Vietnamese crew died on board of a bulk carrier Hiram and two were hospitalized on July 12 in Pengerang waters, Malaysia, Singapore Strait. Vessel issued distress call in the morning July 12. Reportedly all five crew somehow came exposed to a toxic gas inhalation. Injured sailors and bodies were taken to hospital by Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA). Vessel is en route to India from Bintulu Sarawak and was to call Pengerang for bunkering.
