SCF Khibiny refloated

SCF Khibiny looks like she was refloated, during the night or early in the morning June 20. At 0530 UTC June 20 tanker was moving at dead ahead in western part anchorage off Bakirkoy, escorted by two tugs. According to available date, tanker is loaded with some 150,000 tons of crude, grounding was a Master’s fault, after he ignored warnings from Traffic Control. While aground tanker was surveyed by divers, no damages and no leaks reported.

Sovcomflot suezmax tanker SCF Khibiny ran aground at 1009 LT June 18 while sailing through Istanbul Marmara sea anchorage after passing Istanbul Strait in southern direction. Judging from Turkish Maritime Salvage photo, tanker is in load, en route to Pascagoula, USA. As of 1300 UTC June 18 vessel still was aground. No damages, no spill reported. Tanker loaded the cargo on Kerch outer road, Crimea.
