Vietnamese freighter damaged reefs, Philippines

General cargo vessel Ocean 03 ran aground on June 15 while approaching Legazpi City, Albay Gulf, southern Luzon island, Philippines. It is understood, that the vessel was refloated at round 1500 LT June 17 with the help of tugs, and was anchored outside Legazpi. No spill reported, but coral reefs had been damaged, and investigation launched to assess the damage. Vessel was to undergo underwater survey.
