German freighter sunk Chinese barge, Tianjin

General cargo vessel Rickmers Hamburg in the morning May 30 collided with a self-propelled barge Jiang Shun 1318 (no data found) near Tianjin, China, Bohai. Rickmers Hamburg left Tianjin bound for Kobe, Japan. Freighter struck barge in aft section, breaching her hull. Barge partially sank, with only bow part above the water. One of barge’s crew died, one went missing. Rickmers Hamburg was ordered to anchor on Tianjin outer road, at 0600 UTC June 2 vessel still was at anchor. No information on Rickmers Hamburg damages.
