Disabled aframax Lady M waiting for permission to be towed to Las Palmas

Crude oil tanker Lady M suffered fire in engine room presumably on May 14 in the Atlantic en route from Persian Gulf to the USA, and was disabled some 500 nm southwest of Ponta Delgada. Tsavliris was contracted, on May 17 Lady M was taken on tow by a tug St Tsavliris Hellas (IMO 7518965) and was on tow since then, proceeding towards Las Palmas. According to Spanish media, troubled tanker is to get a special permission to enter port for repairs. It is understood, that there is no decision yet. At 1300 UTC May 29 caravan was some 135 nm south of Las Palmas, proceeding at some 3.5 knot speed.
