May 16, 2015 at 05:17 by Mikhail Voytenko in Accidents

Stack of some 11 or 12 containers fell down on board of boxship Pioneer Bay, which is docked in Skutvika, Alesund, Norway, at around 2300 LT May 15, during offloading of empty containers. Most containers fell overboard on a berth. Reportedly accident was caused by a portside list, when stack lashings were already loosened. Luckily, nobody was hurt. Port authorities blame the crew for the accident – allegedly list was caused by crew’s negligence.
