MSC Cruises’ first 154,000grt Seaside-class vessel, MSC Seaside, will be homeported in Miami when she is delivered in November 2017. The 4,140 passenger capacity vessel is currently under construction in Italy at Fincantieri and is the largest cruise ship yet built by this Italian shipbuilder.

Following delivery, MSC Seaside will sail directly to Miami for naming by actress Sophia Loren at a new dedicated terminal in the port for MSC Cruises.

The Seaside-class features a revolutionary open-to-the-sea design with her enginerooms located in the centre of the ship and a completely novel shape that resembles shoreside more that marine architecture. The design is configured to meet Safe Return to Port Regulations – due to one engineroom being forward and the other aft. The ship features a large lower Lido Deck in order to put passengers closer to the sea, while a pair of glass elevators on the port side provides express connections to the upper open decks. Where the most interactive Water Park yet to be fitted on a cruise ship provides five water slides, and a rope trail Adventure Course.
