General cargo vessel Binh Duong 688 ran aground on rocks in position 12 34N 109 28E, 2 nm east of southern tip of Hon Gom peninsula, Khanh Hoa province, north of Saigon, in the morning Mar 23. Vessel is loaded with 1900 tons of coal, 9 crew evacuated. Salvage said to be already under way. On photos grounded Binh Duong 688.
