British, Australian and New Zealand warship to gather in Gallipoli

To mark the 100th anniversary of the disastrous Gallipoli campaign during the First World War, three warships from the Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy and the Royal New Zealand Navy, will arrive off Gallipoli on 24 April to celebrate ANZAC (Australia & New Zealand Army Corp) Day on 25 April. The vessels are the Royal Navy’s new Type-45 destroyer HMS Dauntless (D 33), the Royal Australian Navy’s ANZAC-class frigate HMAS Anzac (FFH 150) and the Royal New Zealand Navy’s frigate HMNZS Te Kaha (F 77). Thousands of British, Australian and New Zealand troops were killed on the failed Gallipoli landings 100 years ago.
