Chief Officer of m/v Victoria C medevaced with wound in abdomen, Kiel Canal

Estonian Chief Officer of general cargo vessel Victoria C was injured on board of the vessel on Jan 20 and suffered a wound in the abdomen, which required immediate hospitalization. Vessel was passing Kiel Canal. Paramedics reached the vessel on a ferry Kolberg, seaman was medevaced and taken to a hospital in Kiel, where he underwent an emergency surgery. Vessel resumed passage and arrived to Brunsbuettel same day.
