General cargo vessel Gulf Rio aground, crew evacuated, Turkey, Black Sea

General cargo vessel Gulf Rio dragged an anchor on Jan 7 while anchored on Samsun road, Turkey, Black sea. Media said vessel was anchored on two anchors, one broke free (anchor chain snapped?), another dragged in stormy weather, vessel was pushed ashore by wind and sea. Vessel arrived to Samsun from Ukraine with cargo of soybeans. 10 crew was evacuated by helicopter same day. It is understood, that salvage will be launched after weather calms down. Crew consists of Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Lithuania nationalities. On photo from Turkish media moment of rescue operation.
