Troubled SKOG taken on tow, North sea

General cargo vessel SKOG ran into trouble in North sea off Orkney islands, en route from Ijmuiden Netherlands to Claydeport, reporting to Shetland Coast Guard at 0310 UTC Nov 24 failed engine and water ingress. Helicopter delivered extra pumps, tug HERACLES (IMO:7725805) was dispatched to assist SKOG. Vessel was taken on tow by HERACLES. At 1500 UTC Nov 24 caravan was north of North Ronaldsay island (Orkney islands), moving in northeast direction, escorted by RNLF lifeboat.
