Cruise ship LE BOREAL fire in South Atlantic, passengers and part of crew evacuated

Fire erupted on board of cruise ship (mega-yacht) LE BOREAL at around 0200 LT Nov 18, when ship was near Cape Dolphin, to the north of the Falkland Islands, en route from Grave Cove to South Georgia. Ninety of the 347 passengers and crew were air lifted to safety from life rafts, while the rest were transferred to another ship. Nobody was injured, it is understood, that part of the crew remained on board to salvage the ship.
