Crew of Chinese fv HU SHUN YU 809 disappeared without a trace

Nov. 8, 2015 at 06:18 by Mikhail Voytenko in Maritime Security

Fishing vessel HU SHUN YU 809 was detained for illegal fishing in Argentine waters in April 2015, and taken to Puerto Madryn port, Patagonia. Vessel is still in Puerto Madryn, under arrest. Initially crew consisted of 31 people, part of the crew was repatriated, 15 remained on board, waiting for repatriation. On Nov 5 all those 15 people disappeared without a trace, officials can’t explain how, and where they all went. They left vessel and guarded port’s territory without anyone noticing them, they didn’t show up on any border checkpoint, air or sea, or land, they just disappeared. Media and public are excited, officials are confused and can’t say anything tangible, let alone explain. Not much information on the vessel found, except the fact that the vessel was engaged in poaching on a regular basis.

Comment:
I believe that providing there weren’t any alien starships around, the crew could be taken on board of a Chinese vessel, fishing or cargo, and presently is under way to home. It wasn’t necessary to moor to HU SHUN YU 809, if that was the case, they were transferred by a boat.
