Freighter BLUE NOTE troubled in Aegean Sea in stormy weather
General cargo vessel BLUE NOTE suffered engine failure at night Oct 31 off northeast tip of Andros Island, Greece, Aegean Sea, in stormy conditions. Vessel started to drift towards the coast, reportedly dropped an anchor, to stop the drift and wait for a tug. According to AIS, crew managed to fix the problem and set sail again. At 0430 UTC Nov 1 vessel was seemingly proceeding under own power, though at a reduced speed of about 5 knots, in direction of port of destination, Volos, Greece. Vessel is en route from Haifa.
