Malaysian Navy KD Perantau capsized in shipyard

Malaysian Navy Hydrographic Survey Ship KD Perantau started to take on water and actually, capsized, resting portside on a berth in Boustead Naval Shipyard BNS, Lumut, north of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysian Malacca Strait coast, on Nov 18. The ship was docked in BNS on Nov 10 for a major refit, officials say all or nearly all machinery and equipment were taken off the ship, which seems to be a bit of exaggeration. The cause of the accident is yet unknown, water ingress stopped, salvage under way. The ship was to undergo repairs until August next year. On photos from Malaysian media troubled KD Perantau.
