Europe Weekly Jet Imports at 350,000MT
Five tankers carrying 350,000 metric tons of jet fuel are tracked arriving at ports in north west Europe or the U.K. for the week beginning Sunday Nov. 9, according to the OPIS Tanker Tracker on FleetMon.com.
No vessels are seen bringing in jet fuel from outside Europe to discharge at ports in the Mediterranean next week. However five tankers laden with a combined tally of 260,000 tons were tracked discharging in this region in the prior seven-day period from November 2-8.
This week’s arrivals in north west Europe compare to 215,000 tons last week, discharged on three ships.
November imports of jet fuel into Europe are 1,585,000 tons on 27 tankers, according to the OPIS Tanker Tracker. Of this, 1,250,000 is destined for north west Europe or the U.K., with the rest coming into European ports on the Med.
The week’s biggest arrival is a 100,000-ton cargo from Total on the NS Africa which arrived in Le Havre on Sunday, Nov. 9, after making the journey from Singapore.
Other ships arriving include the New York Star (BP, 60,000 tons, arriving Milford Haven); Pink Stars (Shell, 90,000 tons), FPMC P Glory (Morgan Stanley, 60,000 tons, signaling arrival Avonmouth Nov. 10).
Vitol has 40,000 tons on the Alam Bstari from Mangalore, India, which is due at the Isle of Grain by Nov. 11 after part of the cargo was sold to BP. However the vessel has currently stopped at Malta.
