General cargo vessel Kertu under tow to Oxelosund, situation under control

General cargo vessel Kertu ran aground at around 0500 UTC Oct 29 off Landsort Island, Stockholm Archipelago, reportedly in adverse weather conditions. Vessel suffered several bottom hull breaches, including fuel tanks, with resulting water ingress in holds and oil leak. According to AIS track, vessel was refloated soon after grounding, and started to move towards nearest port, escorted by, or towed, by Swedish rescue vessels. Crew was evacuated with the exception of Master and Chief Engineer, a salvage team of Swedish CG boarded the vessel. By 2000 LT Oct 29 water ingress was under control, water level in holds reduced from 4 to 1.5 meters. At 0400 UTC Oct 30 vessel, escorted by Swedish rescue ships, was under way heading for Oxelosund, on tow of salvage ship KBV 002 Triton (IMO 9380453), 16 nm ESE of Oxelosund.
