Oil rig Safe Bristolia adrift
In the evening Oct 26 oil rig Safe Bristolia went drifting after the tow lines snapped, some 40 nm west of Bergen, Norway, North sea. Oil rig was under tow of supply tugs vessels BB Troll and Odin Viking, to Bergen’s Hanoytangen yard for repairs. 15 non-essential staff out of 53 on board of a rig were airlifted to Bergen by helicopter. Later tow line was attached again, on Oct 27 situation was under control, in the morning Oct 28 caravan was approaching Bergen.
