Gunboat CB 204 found, South China sea

Malaysian Navy gunboat CB 204 has been found by RMN KD Ganas navy ship on Oct 6, afloat and adrift after engine failure. All communications were lost, the ship was declared missing, search was launched with several Malaysian Navy ships engaged in the operation. 7 crew is safe and sound.

Malaysian Navy gunboat CB 204 went missing on Oct 5 some 20 miles east of Mengalum Island, Sabah State Malaysia, Borneo, South China Sea. The gunboat with 7 crew on board was caught in stormy weather and failed to contact another Navy ship sent to escort her, was reported as missing at 1315 LT.
