Chinese freighter Hao Jun caught in typhoon, 14 crew evacuated

General cargo vessel Hao Jun lost power in Chinese waters about 10nm southwest of Macau in the morning Sep 16, caught in typhoon Kalmaegi, which hit the area with winds up to 80 knots. Vessel started to sink, master requested evacuation. Helicopter rescue service of Hong Kong managed to airlift to safety all 14 crew, operation took about one hour. Fate of the vessel unknown, she may already sink, or remain yet afloat.
