Update: OMS Pollux after hull damage approaching port

Aug. 15, 2014 at 12:54 by Anke Fleischer in Accidents

Windfarm support vessel OMS POLLUX that collided with a wind turbine pile at Walney Wind Farm, off Barrow-in-Furness, yesterday, is now finally approaching the port of Liverpool.

The vessel remained tacking offshore, out of Liverpool Port area and away from environmentally sensitive area, due to still leaking marine gas oil (diesel).

Live tracking data via AIS indicates that the leakage could be sealed in the meanwhile, as OMS Pollux finally heads towards Liverpool Port Area.
