Jet Fuel Europe Weekly Imports Seen Rising
Three tankers carrying 335,000 metric tons of jet fuel will be arriving at ports in northwest Europe or the U.K. from the Middle East or Asia for the week beginning August 10, with another tanker carrying 40,000 tons seen discharging in the Mediterranean region, according to the OPIS Tanker Tracker on FleetMon.com.
The figures are a reversal from the prior seven days, when just one tanker was tracked arriving to northwest Europe, as premiums paid against front-month gasoil hit 2014 highs. By contrast four vessels were seen discharging in the Med for the period Aug. 3-9, with volumes totaling 195,000 tons.
The tracker analyses data from traders, brokers and FleetMon satellite-tracking data.
Tankers and cargoes scheduled to arrive in northwest Europe in the seven-day period from August 10 to August 16 include Four Wind (90,000 tons, Shell) which is scheduled to arrive in Rotterdam on Aug. 13. The tanker was previously signaling its next destination after loading in Saudi Arabia as the U.K.
Also coming is the Nordic Anne (65,000 tons Kuwait Petroleum) and Vitol’s Rotterdam-bound Yang Li Hu carrying 80,000 tons.
The Nord Integrity (BP, 40,000 tons) is due at Algeciras on Aug. 12, after loading at the Red Sea port of Yanbu.
