Oil spill in port of Hamburg

Last week in the port of Hamburg occurred an oil spill caused by the cargo ship MARC ANDRE. The incident took place at the Kali Quay during a bunkering maneuver of the ship. According to the reports of Hamburg's fire brigade about 2000 liters of heavy oil were spilled in the port polluting 2000 square meters. Environmental authority and police were involved. It took several hours to check the contaminated area and to remove the oil spill.
