Japanese fishing vessel sank after collision with boxship Bohai Star, Korea Strait

At around 0530 Tokyo time July 24 South Korean container ship Bohai Star collided with 18-ton Japanese fishing vessel some 6 nm northeast of northeast Tsushima island coast, Korea Strait. Fishing vessel capsized and sank, three crew rescued. Bohai Star was en route to Japan’s Hakata port from Busan, reportedly vessel suffered some damages, too. Last AIS shows vessel either drifting or anchored off Tsushima, assumedly investigation under way. It is reported, that Bohai Star suffered damages, extent unknown.
